The Client:

SPRUCE is a New Orleans-based woman and minority-owned boutique. Their showroom features luxury wallpaper, fabric, textiles, and paint and features over 80 vendors. The SPRUCE team offers dedicated services from selection and sampling to color consultation and installation.

The Challenge:

With over 80 vendors and thousands of designs, SPRUCE wanted a monthly newsletter that was witty and drew clients and designers to specific designs. Each email needed to represent the month it was sent out and specifically highlight New Orleans’ culture.

The Solution:

I created a monthly newsletter for SPRUCE that is both witty and visually engaging, designed to draw clients and designers to specific designs while celebrating New Orleans' vibrant culture. Each newsletter starts with a playful introduction that reflects the charm and unique character of New Orleans, setting the tone for the content.

Each edition features a curated selection of luxury wallpapers, fabrics, textiles, and paints from their extensive vendor list, with a focus on designs that are particularly relevant for the season or upcoming events. I crafted engaging descriptions that highlight the unique qualities of each featured item, using clever wordplay and cultural references to keep readers entertained and informed.

To represent the month, I included sections that tie into local New Orleans festivities, traditions, and seasonal trends. Whether it's Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, or the holiday season, the newsletter reflects the spirit of the city, connecting with readers on a cultural level.

I also integrated tips and insights from the SPRUCE team, offering expert advice on selection, sampling, color consultation, and installation. This not only showcases their expertise but also provides valuable information to clients and designers.

By combining witty content, strategic product highlights, and a celebration of New Orleans culture, the newsletter effectively engages SPRUCE's audience, driving interest in their luxury offerings and reinforcing their brand's unique identity.
